Be aware of every moment of your life. Be conscious of every present moment. There is no thing such as past or the future.

Accept everything you do. If you cannot; stop doing it. Accept those around you. Acceptance.
Enjoy: Most everything you do can be enjoyable if you live in the present. Enjoyment.
Enthusiasm: Be enthusiastic about the things you see and do in life, as you do them. Enthusiasm.

Different words for the same thing?

Different words for the same thing, is that what cultural differences are all about really? Is language a bigger part of culture understanding and understanding than most people think?

Is that why I think of different things in different languages, or am I just thinking of the same thing with other words?

Freedom of speech, where is it?

When I arrived the country known for it's freedom of speech, I did expect double moral. However I did not expect that I cannot speak my mind in a class, because it is political. Where is this freedom of speech this country is so known for? Did I miss it? Did I go blind, or is it true, there is just freedom of speech on paper, but not in reality? But , why, why don't people stand up against it? Take back their freedom of speech, speak their minds and enjoy their freedom. Don't be afraid. Don't be afraid as I am now. I guess there is a difference between the definition of freedom of speech in the country I come from versus the country I am in. Freedom of speech is something that should be practiced, not just braged about.

Never Give Up On Hope

Tonight I attended a speech about nonviolent activism by Richard Deats.

It was very interesting and inspiring. I have to admit that I feel like I'm becoming more and more as a peace activist every day. By starting and leading peacedemonstrations on campus monthly, and more to come. This means that I'm getting closer to achieving my goal in life.

I think it is very important that we all remember every day that we can all make a difference in the world, one step at a time. Therefore we must never give up on hope for a peaceful world.

Dobbel moralens hjemland

Wow,

endelig snart helg! Tida gaar fort og snart er det ferie. Fekk posisjonen som assistant director for Vagina Monologues (veldig populaert skuespill med fokus paa kvinner i samfunnet). Dette vil sei at ej e director for skuespillet neste aar og er med i styret paa kvinnesenteret! Hurra!

Etter dette semestere har ej jobba ved News36 (tv stasjonen ved universitetet) i et aar. But, that's enough.

Akkurat no er eg veldig trott. Men i kveld blir det bra, skal leie den andre fredsdemonstrasjonen paa campus. (Dette er ikkje en politisk demonstrasjon.. Dvs, vi demonstrerer for fred og ikkje-vold uavhengig av politisk ideologi eller religion. Det er reint en demonstrasjon for FRED).

UN model var verkleg intressant i gaar. "Political science majors don't care about society, they just care about themselves" sa ein kamerat etter forferdlige utspill fra klassekamerater om utviklingspolitikk og FN's milleniums maal. For ingenting er visstnok mulig uten USA... Saa lenge ingen er som USA, kjem dei aldri til aa kunne utvikle seg nok til aa overhode dekke minstebehov til innbyggerane sine... naar d kjem til mat.Ok, for aa komme til poenget : dei sa at dersom FN ikkje e til USAs fordel e FN en forfeardelig unyttig organisasjon for HEILE VERDEN..

Jaja, ej leve jo i dobbelmoralens hjemland saa maa berre laere mej aa leve med det.

I'm inspired

I dag spilte ej rullestol basketball, kor inntektene gaar til Special Olympics.

Drag King

Eg skal vere drag king neste helg! I lag med nokre andre jenter som jobbar paa kvinnesenteret(WRC) skal eg kle meg ut som mann og framfore et show. Dette blir paa PRISM dansen. PRISM er en organisasjon paa campus som jobber med homofile og transvettesita sine rettigheta.

Tida flyg, og no er semestere snart ferdig.. Eller dvs det er under to mnd til ferie! Har valgt fag for neste semester:
